Sculpting With Light (solo show). As a result of a HoloCenter (NYC) award, I was able to utilize the facilities at the Ohio State University Physics Laboratory to make holographic recordings of one of my stone artworks, “CHIEF”. Under the guidance of Professor Kagan, I used various holographic processes to create holograms with different visual effects – some are rainbow colored, some are monochromatic. The resulting 3D images are exact copies of the carved rock figure except that they are sculpted with light! The exhibit also included holographic "selfies" and vintage holograms.

July 5 – July 23, 2019
Exhibited sculptures and holograms at the Contrast in Composition show at Art At Leeds gallery (Leeds, NY). The installation included the same image sculpted in both stone and light (the former as a sculpture, the latter as wall-mounted reflection holograms and freestanding transmission holograms). In addition to his own art, Rhody exhibited rare holograms from his personal collection.
